Project 365 ~ Day 98*Broken hearted

We had to put our oldest dog to slept. He had started having frequent seizures. He was a 14 1/2 year old miniature schnauzer. We have had him our whole married life. He was only 4 weeks old when we got him. I remember holding him on the way home. He was so little...We paid more for him than two months rent. I don't know how we did it we were so broke. We feed him the best food when we could bearly feed ourselves. We had him a 1st birthday party since he was our only child! I could go on and on about over 14 years of memories.....

Thankfully he was peaceful and resting at the time. Our wonderful vet come to our home to do it. That was so nice....We laid with him on a blanket underneath our the tree in our front yard....I held him as they did it. I have never been through that before so it was hard.....I love him so much and it is so hard being without him. We have another schnauzer that we love dearly so we have all been sticking close together!

We buried him on our property underneath a cedar tree. We have a nice wooded area on our land. I just hand wrote a head stone for him for now but I'm looking for something nice....he deserves it!
